Services

Given our facility is full service and we are a show barn, we provide farrier work, hauling, bathing, and other required services to ready the horses for the show ring. All of our horses are stabled together at a show and we provide full grooming and maintenance services to everyone who shows with us. At Katona Reining, we prioritize a “horse first” care approach, ensuring that each horse is treated with the love and respect they deserve as our competition partners.

While the atmosphere at shows can sometimes be intense; we work hard to build an atmosphere of support, friendship, and fun. Showing horses allows everyone to work toward personal goals and measure achievements.  We also learn by observing others and connecting with fellow reining enthusiasts.

We provide:

  • Daily quality care in a “horse first” program

  • 24-hour supervision with owner on premises

  • Training for all breeds, specializing in reining

  • Youth instruction and showing

  • Non pro instruction & showing at all levels

  • Open level instruction and showing

  • Show consultation

  • Veterinary and farrier services

  • Rehabilitation

  • Lessons for children and adults, beginner through advanced

  • Clinics

Katona Reining participates in several horse shows throughout each year for youth through senior riders. These include Local, Regional, Affiliate, an National/World shows. Show Season typically starts in late April and concludes with the NRHA Futurity and World Show in November-December. An average year has our barn participating in approximately 8+ shows, four of which are MRHA Affiliate shows in Midland, MI and another being AQHA’s Congress show in Columbus, OH.  We often attend other local and national shows as well.
